Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool requests six data points: your gender, date of birth, how you'd categorize your health, tobacco usage, the death benefit you want, and the policy term that interests you. These six answers produce carrier pricing. We only request your name, location, and health background if you decide to submit an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The pricing displayed represents what each carrier quotes for the classification you chose. The underwriting decision by the carrier determines your actual premium, which may confirm, improve, or adjust the tier you selected. Nothing on this platform is an insurance offer or a price commitment.

What happens when I click Apply?

After you choose a quote, you go to the carriers' secure application with everything you already answered prefilled. The process can be paused and resumed, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129), processes the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

Whether you'll need an exam depends on which carrier you select, how much coverage you're seeking, and your health information. Several carriers now offer rapid-track underwriting where qualified applicants get approval without an exam; each quote indicates whether an exam is required, might be required, or is not required.

Is a longer term better?

Coverage should span the years when your absence would create financial strain: paying off the mortgage, supporting children, managing business debt. Longer periods cost more monthly but lock your rate in for that duration. You can check 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side using the quote tool.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The tool doesn't collect contact information, we don't buy or trade customer data, and we don't use cookies for tracking. Go to the privacy page for a complete breakdown of what information is gathered and who has access to it.
